This October, Kathleen Mellett and the Sole Sisters of Talamore will be participating in the Susan G. Komen 3-Day 60 mile Breast Cancer Walk. Sound familiar? Their team, the Sole Sisters of Talamore, attempted to walk last year but Mother Nature intervened in the form of a nor'easter that changed the 60 mile 3-day trek into a 15 mile 1-day walk. Kathleen and her team members were disappointed, but inspired by the hundreds of survivors walking along with them, and resolved that day to participate one more time to complete their journey. They have already begun training and held Their first fundraiser - a Mother's Day morning walk in their neighborhood that raised almost $1000.
