In 1988 Tom Mellett opened CarStore of Glenside and U-Save Car & Truck Rental Center at the same location, Just one block north from where it's located today.

CarStore of Glenside moved to the 758 N. Easton Road location in 1997, due to the growth of both business's.  Then, in 2005, due to an opportunity to expand even further, the adjoining property to 758 N. Easton Road became available.  We purchased, remodeled and combined our U-Save Car & Truck Rental Center into our CarStore Complex. We are now celebrating our 21st year serving you, Our Friends, Our Clients from all over Pennsylvania and the World from our state of the art facility.

Tom Mellett grew up and still lives in the Glenside area. He enjoys doing business with the people of his hometown. Tom says "We are dedicated car people. The automobile business is the only business we know and we love it. It's great to be able to do what you love for a living."
